The strike action by Federal Unity Colleges have been put to a stop as academic activities resumed on Monday, September 28.
The strike was suspended last week, with boarding school students arriving from Sunday, and day students joining in on the resumption on Monday.
Over the weekend, Principals had sent out notices, informing students and parents of the resumption on Monday and wishing them a “happy resumption”
“I welcome you all, the management, staff, students and parents, to the 2026/2027 academic session.
“May this session bring every student greater confidence, deeper knowledge, excellent results and memorable achievements.” the notices stated.
The resumption of Unity Colleges came two weeks after official resumption dates for the session, following the dispute between the Federal Government and Civil servants over the concession of King’s College, Lagos.
