Lagos Unveils LSDP 2052 Tracking Dashboard to Strengthen Development Plan Implementation

The Lagos State Ministry of Economic Planning and Budget (MEPB) has launched a new tracking dashboard aimed at strengthening implementation of the Lagos State Development Plan (LSDP) 2052, which is designed to enhance performance monitoring, improve inter-agency coordination and support evidence-based decision-making.

The initiative was announced at a stakeholders’ engagement session held Tuesday at Protea Hotel, Alausa, themed around building Lagos into a safe, secure and productive mega-city.

The event brought together where accounting officers and senior government officials met to review implementation strategies and reinforce collaboration among MDAs.

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Economic Planning and Budget, Mrs. Olayinka Ojo, described the development plan as the state’s long-term blueprint for governance and sustainable growth, telling participants that accounting officers play a central role in turning its goals into concrete results through sound planning and consistent monitoring.

The Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget, Mr. Ope George, represented by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Economic Planning and Budget, Mr. Lekan Balogun,  called the plan Lagos’s collective vision for the next three decades, aimed at building a globally competitive and inclusive megacity.

He said the new dashboard would allow real-time tracking of progress and help identify implementation gaps early.

He also stressed the need for stronger collaboration among ministries and agencies, improved data quality and closer alignment of annual budgets with the state’s long-term development priorities to ensure effective service delivery.
