Lagos State Deputy Governor commissions Ansar-ud-Deen New National Headquarters in Surulere

Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, on Saturday commissioned the newly completed National Headquarters of the Ansar-ud-Deen Society of Nigeria in Surulere, describing the project as another milestone in the Society’s commitment to education, community service and national development.

The commissioning ceremony attracted Islamic scholars, traditional leaders, government officials, dignitaries and members of the Society, who gathered to celebrate the completion of the headquarters.

Ansar-ud-Deen has built a strong presence in Lagos and nationwide, with a footprint that stretches well beyond religious activity into education, healthcare and broader community development, including efforts to bring essential services closer to ordinary Nigerians.

Hamzat’s attendance reflected the state government’s continued engagement with faith-based and community groups on social development.

He has previously urged deeper collaboration between government, religious organizations and charitable bodies, arguing that lasting development depends on contributions from every sector of society.

Founded over a century ago, the Ansar-ud-Deen Society of Nigeria has played a significant role in the provision of education, healthcare and humanitarian services across the country.

The commissioning of the new national headquarters marks another milestone in the Society’s history and is expected to enhance its capacity to deliver programs that support education, social welfare and community development.
