Lagos State Government has announced plans to increase electricity supply across the state from below 1,000 megawatts to more than 3,000MW by March 2027.
The plan is expected to add about 2,000MW through increased supply from the national grid, independent power projects, energy hubs and embedded generation.
The government said the initiative is aimed at reducing power outages and providing more reliable electricity for residents and businesses.
The increased power supply is also expected to support Lagos’ plan to operate a 24-hour economy, boosting productivity, investment and economic activities across the state.
